I ran across a solution in Dubai where the restaurant sent a text message to the customers about an hour after they had eaten/ordered, asking them to participate in an online survey (one ipod was given away per month).

This way you can dramatically increase the ROI of the integration because you get a variety of information out of your customers ordering there. Whether and how they liked the food, and many, many more hints on how you can improve your service.

    Hi,

    It’s pretty simple actually.

Use a simple solution like http://www.spiderboss.com.

The waitor/waitress, just gives the manager the number, and he inputs the number in the software and sends a text cut & paste text message, with the link to the survey page.

If you really want to get fancy. You could make short video (saved as a template), thank the customer and ask with your voice using MMS.

I know the folks at Spiderboss, and I’m getting their solution integrated next week for a SMS notification service. Just let me know if you have questions. I’ll find out for you.

I got you on Facebook too..

    Cheers,
    -Marcus

    Hi.

    I am Alok.

This can be achieved in integrated-approach.
I have used some experience like menu based services on phones using the OTA smart trust systems ( go to the wireless service provider and ask for a short code license on say 34567 short code assigned to your restaurant services ) you may want to use both WIBlet menu and short code services on Smart Trust OTA system to help both service provider and you to run more business.

    a) sms 2 email service. : The customers reply against the sms you put on them: (out of the box survey questions) Decide with your managers as to what kind of menu did they order for? survey with your managers on what kind of questions can you quickly prepare and sms it to the customer in an hour. Say the waiter sees an extra interest on a particular dish which was ordered in the whole lunch/or dinner and takes stock on that. And sometimes one may know by looking at the orders on what tasty dish sells more at the restaurant along with the orders.
The sms would be like :
I hope you liked the biriyani. Can we parcel you the recipe or a free order at your doorstep? Sms Yes at 34567 to serve you better.

(call them on the ‘Yes’ and suitably know the address )

Such or much like these questions would enthrall the customer and help him to keep track at other outlets of yours. or perhaps an ‘yes’

    b) Wap based portals which you flash on hoardings besides the adverts.
Ericsson may help you develop the way services and connect them to the operator for more enhanced integrated applications.

    Please let me know.
