I made this video just as I was heading out the door in regards to the tons of questions I received about the recession and how to beat it.
Using the internet (not only) as a point of sale can be one way.
Have fun and a nice weekend and feel free to call me if you have questions.

How can a service such as ours survive if the job are being cut down as we offer services in HR recruitment.

Nice video Lars. I think now more than ever, because of the global economic uncertainties, business owners and entrepreneurs need to add to their sales channels to keep their top and bottom line growing.
Thanks for the tips.

It looks like you found counterfeit products (Levi’s jeans for $6) and thus advised your customer to break the law…
Not a wise strategy. Even for recession times!

Hi Pavel,
thank you very much for your concern – and of course your comment.
Trust me, breaking the law is NOTHING I have in mind. The accusation in your comment is not backed by hard information.
The jeans were in fact real – whether they were 2. choice of whatever, I can not say. Yet the quality was A1. And the jeans were in fact real.
If you visit ebay.com you can convince yourself that buying this specific pair of jeans is possible for 10USD anytime.
Thanks
Lars

Lars,
you have – again – made an exceptionally good point there. And I look forward to your next appearance. WHERE! do you get all of those ideas from?
Anyhow – I have forwarded your newsletter to a pretty good portion of my address book advising them, that the smartest thing they can do is also sign up. Which they will do.
Thank you so much for your effort and your blogging and keep up the – pardon my french – DAMN! good job that you’re doing showing everyone the right way on the web.

This is truly magnificent. The simplicity of this action is great Lars. Please keep up the good work and share more of your thoughts with us.
Do you also consult companies? I will give you a call later and ask you about your prices.
Thank you so much

Hey Lars,
first of all: more men should have long hair – it just does look sexy
But now to the important part – I’m so with you that so many business owners – including myself – neglect the internet as a point of sale. And I bet there are lots of things to do which will increase my chances of being more successful as an entrepreneur.
So yes, I will contact you within the next couple of days do hear more of your ideas and how they could fit my business.
So much this far: I’m in retail and have a small boutique in LA.
Looking forward to talking to you live

WHAT DO YOU SUGGEST WE DO? WE HAVE A RESTAURANT AND ARE EXPERIENCING A MASSIVE DECLINE IN CUSTOMERS.
October 13th, 2008 - 5:01 pm
@Maanoj Thank goodness you have a service that is capable of doing international business. Your successor will definitely be in the good relations (and the mass thereof) with your (social) network. Thus of course also on how you promote yourself and how your employees do the same job. What I am referring to is the fact that your website should contain a newsletter section in which you regularly post new and exclusive jobs. This might be an eye-catcher to your folks out there.
@Jackie: Looking forward to your call
@David: Hit the CAPS Key next time
But seriously: If you are in the hospitality-business then you should go towards instruments you can use. For instance to send your customers (who make reservations with mobile phones) a short survey about how they liked their stay with you and what you could do to improve service. So that you can capture your status quo and improve on those issues if you get a sufficient amount of data from that. You can always improve the number of responses by giving away an iPod per month for every opinion expressed – or whatever.
Hope I was able to help all of you a little bit. Feel free to call if you need more.

Hello Lars,
great video. I love the simplicity with which you present these great ideas of yours. You do have a new subscriber to your blog.

I noticed that you never moved your shoulder or neck while talking through the entire video presentation. That kinda cuts you off from the audience and almost makes you look like a robotic narrator.
Get more casual, reflexive, mobile, and animated (to a reasonable degree) to engage your audience. And get a better quality of video!
Best.
